Dear Friends,

"We remember how you loved us till your death and we believe that we shall see you when you come in your glory. We remember, we celebrate, we believe."¹
In this spring issue of Connecting, we take the opportunity to acknowledge and name those individuals, living and deceased, who were recommended to our prayers by friends and relatives. In addition, we are grateful to the many families who named us recipients of their generosity upon the death of a loved one. We are forever indebted to all who remember us in this most thoughtful manner. Our promise of prayer is not taken lightly. Know that you and your intentions are remembered daily.
This past year, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston have also been the recipients of numerous honors and recognitions by schools, parishes, and organizations. Thank you, one and all, for remembering us. We are humbled by these awards and acknowledge that together we can do anything when it comes to service of the Dear Neighbor.

As we move into the season of Spring and appreciate the newness around us, we do so ever conscious of the suffering of so many who have lost employment, who have lost homes, and those who worry about life’s basic necessities. Everyone receiving this issue of Connecting knows someone who has been seriously impacted by the current state of the economy. All these individuals are our "Dear Neighbors" also. Please inform them that they continue to be remembered in prayer by the Sisters of St. Joseph.
In spite of all the reasons we may have to be discouraged, we continue to be people of hope - people who believe the message of the prophet Jeremiah, "I know the plans I have for you...plans for a future full of hope."²
May God our Creator, Jesus our Redeemer, and the Spirit who calls us to new life be with you and your loved ones today and always.

Sincerely,
Sister Mary
